GAIN Plan is our dynamic prospectus — a living overview of our vision, priorities, programs, and the investments needed to support the people who power democracy. Some sections are still being developed, and this prospectus will keep growing as the plan evolves.
GAIN Power powers the people who power our democracy. We are a professional community on a mission to demystify, diversify, and democratize our politics and democracy — helping people find jobs, organizations find talent, and the Democratic and progressive community do its work more effectively. Through networking, professional development, marketing, resources, events, and career opportunities, we help people enter, navigate, and build lasting careers in elections, advocacy, organizing, governing, media, and the broader work of democracy.
Our movement is fragmented, and too often the people doing this work lack the support, access, and connections they need to succeed and stay in it. We build platforms, directories, marketplaces, hiring tools, training resources, gatherings, awards, and newsletters that help close those gaps. Each makes a different part of our community easier to understand and engage with. Together, they connect people, knowledge, talent, services, and opportunities across organizations and election cycles — because a stronger democracy requires sustained investment in the people who make it work.
We are a big-tent, values-driven platform. Our leadership is majority BIPOC, LGBTQI+, and women. We operate across three legally separate entities — a for-profit LLC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and a Super PAC — united by a single mission: power the people who power democracy.
This platform was created by Amy Pritchard, founder of GAIN Power and Amplify Power, her primary political consulting company. Her work connects political strategy, communications, organizing, leadership development, and technology to expand who can participate, lead, and build power in our democracy.
