GAIN Power is the career and talent infrastructure for the progressive ecosystem. We connect democracy workers with jobs, build community across organizational silos, and invest in the people who power democracy — led by BIPOC, LGBTQI+, and women leaders across three legally separate entities united by one mission.
The democracy ecosystem has spent decades building collaborative infrastructure — C3 tables, C4 tables, donor collaboratives, communications tables, state tables, data collaboratives. One critical function remains fragmented: talent.
Every campaign, nonprofit, union, consulting firm, and advocacy organization needs talent. Every movement depends on it. Yet there is no equivalent ecosystem focused on recruiting, developing, supporting, connecting, retaining, and advancing the people who do this work.
The window is open right now. Post-2024 reports converge on the same root cause across messaging, tactics, and digital strategy: these are talent problems. Conservatives outspend progressives on leadership development while our workforce burns out, gets laid off, and is left behind between cycles.
Our programs are infrastructure. They are the connective tissue between the training orgs, the job boards, the 8+ bargaining units, the directories, and the media outlets — and the platform that fills the gaps none of them address.
